Mission Reports are a specialized project-wide type of content. Only specifically authorized people should create Mission Reports. If you have questions about whether you should, please consult your PI or Eric Rehm.

To create Mission Reports through email, you should follow the instructions given in Create content through Email. The instructions for creating content are consistent across all different sorts of content, only the address changes. For Mission Reports, send reports to bloomreporter@gmail.com

Mission Reports have particular Taxonomy terms attached to them:

• Summary -- For overall Mission Summaries.
• Biofloats,Biofloat47,Biofloat48 -- For reports having to do with the Biofloats.
• Bioptical Properties,Attenuation -- For Bioptical Properties
• Seaglider140,Seaglider141,Seaglider142,Seaglider143 -- For reports on the Seagliders.
• Ship,RV Knorr or Ship,RV Saemundson -- For details of shipboard operations on either cruise.
• ISUS -- For reports having to do with the ISUS nitrate sensor.
• NAB08 Model -- For models constructed as part of this project.

Using these taxonomy terms will cause the site to highlight most recent report in each category in the upper left of the page (Under 'Mission Summary' or 'Mission Reports.') You may wish to use other taxonomy terms as well to reflect the content of the post, but at least one of the seven above categories should be used on any mission report.

Mission Reports are promoted to the front page of the site by default.
